Everest Expeditions (Tibet Side)

The mysterious country, Tibet instigate so many curiosity as this vast expanse of myth and religion unlike to other countries in the world. Steeped deep in religious mysticism and ancient practices. In Tibet each mountain has its own story and names and reflects aged long religious faiths. The Everest, the giant mountain of the world is also mysteriously stood in the east section of the Nepal/Tibet border. Before 1949 all unsuccessful approaches undertaken from Tibet, following Northern ridge as Nepal was closed. Once the latter opened its doors that of the former were shut and reopened again in 1980 and with that a whole new world of exciting opportunities to kiss the summit multiplied.
We head from Kathmandu to Kodari, border and further to Chinese Base camp by drive Advance Base camp is established at Rongbuk glacier at 5180m though the real climbing starts at camp 1 at an elevation of 7000m . The route is complex and difficult and the summit day long and tiring but the allure of climbing the Everest from the Tibet side is always magical as the British mountaineer quoted, "......the north side of Everest was to me one of the most historic and interesting places of all".
