Days 01 : Arrival Cochin
Namaste! We are welcomed the traditional Indian way with hands clapped together. After immigration and custom formalities, we are assisted and driven through the city to our hotel.
Overnight: Taj Malabar in Cochin (2 nights)

Days 02 : Cochin
Today we explore Cochin, the commercial capital of Kerala, with one of the finest natural harbours in the world. Ancient mariners from Arabia, China, Holland, Britain and Portugal have all left their mark on this beautiful island city, often referred to as the Venice of the East. Here we tour the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, the Jewish Quarter with its old synagogue and take a boat tour to visit the Bolghatty Palace and observe the fascinating Chinese fishing nets in action.

Days 03 : Cochin/Ooty (290 Kms/ 6 Hrs)
Today we leave for Ooty. Ooty also known as Udagamandalam is the "Queen of hill stations" and the capital of Nilgiris district. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Nilgiris means "Blue Mountains". It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. Used to be popular summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level. In the morning after breakfast we leave for Ooty The "Queen of hill stations" is the capital of Nilgiris district. On arrival in Ooty we check in our hotel: Taj Savoy – 4 Star Property. Rest of the day free on your own.

Days 04 : Ooty/Munnar: (Drive 200 Kms/ 4 Hrs.)
After breakfasts depart for Munnar enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. Arrive Munnar and check in at hotel. Munnar situated at 1600m above sea level was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Governmentin South India. Sightseeing tour includes visit to Pothamedu which offers an excellent view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar.

Days 05 : Munnar/Periyar (Drive 200 Kms/ 4 Hrs.)
After breakfast we will drive to Periyar. A full day at Periyar sanctuary game viewing. One of the well-known wildlife sanctuaries in the south, Periyar sanctuary attracts a large number of nature lovers every year. Also called the Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary, this place is ideal for watching the animals in their natural habitat. Evening is at your leisure. Overnight:

Days 06 : Periyar/Kumarakom (Drive 185 Kms/ 4 Hrs.)
After breakfasts depart for Kumarakom enjoying the scenic beauty . Arrive Kumarakom and check in at hotel.An unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. Situated on the Vembanad Lake, in this small water world you will come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes which will take you into the heart of the scenic lake. The resorts offer comfortable accommodation and exclusive leisure options like an Ayurvedic massage, yoga, meditation, boating, fishing, angling and swimming. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, an ornithologist’s paradise, is a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. A cruise along the Vembanad Lake is the best way to experience the Sanctuary.

Days 07 : Kumarakom/Trivandrum/Kovalam
Today we leave for Kovalam visiting enroute Thiruvananthapuram, earlier known as Trivandrum, is the capital city of Kerala. The name literally splits into "Tiru", "Anantha" and "puram" meaning "the town of Lord Anantha". The temple of Lord Anantha is at the heart of the town and for generations, the kings have called themselves "Padmanabha-Dasa" or the "servants of Lord Ananthapadmanabha", and ruled the state as the representatives of Lord Anantha-Padmanabha. We visit the beautiful Temple of Padmanabhaswamy, the Chitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and the local market. A scenic and easy drive gets us to the beautiful Kovalam Beach on the Malabar Coast near Trivandrum. The palm-fringed bays and secluded coconut groves, promise a relaxed stay. The boundless blue waters of the Arabian Sea and miles of white sands washed away by the surf at the feet of the stalwart palms and the rocky promontories make this beach an incredible paradise. On arrival we check-in to hotel.

Days 08 : Kovalam/Kanyakumari/Kovalam
Today we enjoy a visit to the "Lands End" of India: Kanniya Kumari is the southernmost tip of peninsular India where the waters of the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea meet. A place from where one can see spectacular sunrises and also colourful sunsets. On balmy evenings, one can watch the sun set while the full moon is rising in another part of the sky!

Days 09 : Kovalam
Full day relaxation at the beach resort. Optional Ayurvedic Massage.

Days 10 : Kovalam/Trivandrum/Mumbai
After breakfast drive to Trivandrum airport in time to connect flight to Bombay. On arrival check into hotel. Overnight Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai (1 Night)

Days 11 : Mumbai/Home
After breakfast half day city tour of Bombay visiting Gateway of India, Gandhi Memorial, Dhobhi Talod (The open air community laundary), & Prince of Wales Museum. Late evening transfer to airport in time to connect flight to home.

1st Day Attractions:-

  1. Inaugural Procession (Shobha Yatra):-It exhibits the life and culture of the Desert. Stunning Rajasthani women dressed in traditional costumes. Balancing a pile of decorated earthen pots grace the occasion. The procession led by the proud riders of the BSF atop camel will start from the Sonar Fort And will march towards the Poonam Singh Stadium for the final inaugural ceremony

  2. Turban Tying Competition :- The turban tying competition is such a contest where one can experience the same royal fervor. Foreigners who want to participate can give their entries at the venue.

  3. Mr. Desert Competition :- In the Desert Festival, Traditions and culture are blended with modern age pageant. Despite the arid and averse condition, the inclination of the inhibitants ob the desert is visible to achieve this motive. “Mr.Desert” competition reflects the attractive personality, colourful costumes and pride of the Golden Desert via its contenders.

  4. Miss. Moomal Competition :-“Miss Moomal” is the women pageant contest. Different from usual beauty contests ,it is unique in highlighting the beauty of desert women. Young girls in colourful costumes and dazzling ornaments participate in this event.

  5. Mr. Mustache Competition :- Mustache are generic to Rajasthan, the pride of its men. And it is generally in rural Rajasthan that you find the men adoring long, busy moustaches with a twirl.

  6. Mumal & Mahendra Competition :- To proliferate love to its madeness, Romeo and Juliet have lived in this part of the world too as “Moomal and Mahendra”

  7. Cultural Evening : - The glistening sands and contoured bleakness of the Thar Desert has cradled the folk tradition of the people of Rajasthan from centuries. The cultural Evening witnesses the vibrant and graceful dances of Rajasthan. The evening adorns not only with the celestial light but also with sound and movements. It turns in a place where music, moonlight and feeling are one. Day 12:Jaislmer: -01/02/2007: -

2nd Day Attractions :-
  1. Camel Show :- “Camel Show” an important event of the Desert Festival pays a tribute to the desert hero. The residents of Jaisalmer decorate their camels in all possible ways with Gorband, Oukab, Muari, Gaasiya etc.

  2. Camel Polo :- In Rajasthan –The traditional polo games is played on horses.elephant and even camels. And camel polo is played only in jaisalmer.

  3. Tug Of War :- An exciting tussle game where the east meets the west .It is indeed fun watching foreigners taking the Indian in the test of strength.

  4. Tatto Show:- A breathtaking show is performed by BSF jawans sitting on camel backs.

  5. Fireworks :- The mirth of any celebration remains incomplete without sparking firework.

Day 13 : Jaislmer: -02/02/2007
Today After breakfast we leave for city tour of Jaisalmer visiting the Patwon ki Haweli,Salim singh ki Haweli, Nathmalji ki Haweli, . 3rd Day Attraction :-
  1. Laggan Match :-It is live …the cricket match of Oscar nominated film “Lagan” on Jaisalmer sands. The Indians are playing against the foreign tourists.
  2. Para Dropping:-Performed by paratroopers of the Indian Air Force , this is a maverick show of courage,determination and perfection.
  3. Camel Race:- The Camel –the ship of the desert or call what you may, is the real Hero of the landscape. It is an exclusive experience to witness a camel race on the undulating sands of the Desert.
  4. Desert Symphony( Cultural Evening) :- Rhythem and resonance of the desert fills the air with mirth, The Sarangi,Algoza, Matka< Khartal, coupled with the captivating folksongs by Langas And Manganiyars mesmerizes every present soul.
Day 14 : Jaisalmer/ Bikaner (Drive 330 km/5 hr): -03/02/2007
After breakfast we proceed to Bikaner. Bikaner city is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and a mosque & Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aries windows of varying designs. An enormous arched doorway leads to the Jaramal Temple. The royal chapel is Har Mandir where royal weddings and births were once celebrated. On arrival in Bikaner we check in into hotel. We also visit Junagadh fort, constructed between 1588to 1593 by Raja Rai Singh. Fort has a 986 metre long wall with 37 bastion & two entrances. Later we visit Bhand Sagar Temple& also visit Jain Temple and camel Breeding farm. Evening is free for personal activities.

Day 15 : Bikaner/Mandawa:(Drive 164km/4Hrs):-04/02/2007
After breakfast we proceed to Mandawa, ideal location to revisit Rajasthan's rich heritage and culture. Mandawa is an excellent base for exploring the region. It was settled in the 18th century and fulfilled by the dominant merchant families. On arrival in Mandawa we check in into Castle Mandawa. Rest of the day is free to explore the Shekhawati region.Overnight: Hotel in Castle Mandawa (B).

Day16 : Mandawa/Delhi/Out:(Drive-242km/6Hrs):-05/02/2007
After breakfast we come back to Delhi. Evening is free for shopping & Personal activities. In the late evening we are transferred to international airport for onward journey.
