Gokyo Cho la Pass Trek

This trek is the culmination of classic tradition and top class of adventures as it combines entire upper Khumbu, crystal Gokyo Lake, renowned viewpoint Gokyor-Ri and of curse the base of world's tallest mountain, Everest . This journey starts with an “eye opening” flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. From Lukla, the trail twists ups and down through the prosperous Sherpa hub like Namche, Thame, Khumjung, Phortse and Dhole to Gokyo Lake at 4790 m. Views of western shoulder of Mt. Everest, Lotse Nuptse and far away Makalu are excellent from Gokyo Ri (5483 m.) Then crossing over Cho La Pass (5667 m.), trail heads up to Kalapattar at 5545 m. Most of the famous photographs of Everest where taken from atop this “bump” on the landscape. We retrace back to Namche then to Lukla following the classic route to Everest Base Camp.

Itinerary:

Days 01 : Arrival Kathmandu, receive and transfer to hotel.

Days 02 :Full day KTM city tour. O/N hotel.

Days 03 :Transfer to airport, flight to Lukla. Trek to Phakding. O/N Lodge.

Days 04 :Trek to Manjo.

Days 05 : Trek to Namche.

Days 06 : Rest day in Namche.

Days 07 : Trek to Phortse Bridge.

Days 08 : Trek to Dole.

Days 09 : Trek to Machermo.

Days 10 : Trek to Gokyo.

Days 11 : Excursion to Gokyo Ri.

Days 12 : Trek to Thangnak.

Days 13 : Trek to Dzongla, crossing over Cho La Pass.

Days 14 : Trek to Gorakshep.

Days 15 : Excursion to Kalapattar (5545m.).

Days 16 : Excursion to Everest Base Camp and trek down to Lobuche.

Days 17 : Trek to Thyangboche.

Days 18 : Trek to Phakding.

Days 19 : Trek back to Lukla.

Days 20 : Flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu.

Days 21-22 : Free day in Kathmandu.

Days 23 : Final departure.

Cost is nett US$ 1619/ EURO 1245 per person on twin sharing basis.
